Important Update: The 2026 Vape Tax Transition

The Dual Impact: China & The UK

  1. From April 2026 (China Manufacturing): A removal of export subsidies in China means the cost of manufacturing hardware (kits and coils) will rise globally.
  2. From October 2026 (UK Excise Duty): The UK government is introducing a new Vaping Products Duty of £2.20 per 10ml of e-liquid. When VAT is added, this totals a £2.64 increase per 10ml bottle.

Our Commitment: Protecting Our Customers

We know that price is a major factor in your journey to stay smoke-free. Avalanche Vapes will keep costs down as far as we can, and for as long as we can. Here is our strategy to support you through this transition:

  • The "Price Freeze" Period: We are currently securing massive reserves of non-taxable inventory. This means that even after the new laws begin in October, we will continue to sell our existing stock at current, lower prices until it is gone.
  • The Transition (Oct 2026 – March 2027): During this six-month window, you will see a "dual-stock" period. We will prioritise selling our non-taxed stock first. You will only see price increases on specific products as we sell through our old reserves and move to new, duty-stamped inventory.
  • Strategic Sourcing: We are working directly with our partners in China and the UK to negotiate the best possible wholesale rates, ensuring that we absorb as much of the manufacturing price hike as possible before passing anything on to you.

What This Means for You

Between October 2026 and March 2027, prices on liquid-based products will start to increase gradually. By 1 April 2027, the law requires all retailers to sell only taxed, duty-stamped products.

Avalanche Pro-Tip: We recommend using the summer of 2026 to stock up on your favourite e-liquids and coils. By purchasing before the October deadline, you can lock in today's prices for your personal supply well into 2027.
